Our primary fund-raising project is operation of the Popcorn/Cotton Candy booth at the NC State Flea Market each weekend (Saturday and Sunday) located at the NC State Fairgrounds. The proceeds of this project go to support our sponsored youth, which includes:
Cary High School Key Club
Apex High School Key Club
Panther Creek High School Key Club
Scholarships for graduating Cary-area high school seniors
March of Dimes March for Babies
Wake County Special Olympics
Catfish Hunter Chapter ALS Walk
Boys and Girls Home of North Carolina
Popcorn Booth Operation
For operation of our major fund-raising project, we depend heavily on the Key Clubs that we sponsor. In fact, members of the area Key Clubs actually operate our Popcorn Booth, under the supervision of an assigned Kiwanian. This document explains the operation in more detail: Operation Detail
Key Club members are responsible for understanding the schedule of when they are to provide workers and the Rules for Operation. This document outlines these items: Rules for Operation
If you have Microsoft PowerPoint loaded on your computer (or software that can play PowerPoint presentations), here is a PowerPoint presentation that may amplify the operation of this Popcorn Booth: Popcorn PowerPoint
